Okamoto joins the NFT game, suggesting the probability of diving into the metaverse
Okamoto, Japan’s largest producer of rubber latex products founded in 1934, is launching an NFT collection that may include physical and digital products. At press time, the price and the launch date had yet to be determined.
The company company’s suggestion not only stops at NFT, but also plainly displays its stance of wanting to get into the metaverse.
Okamoto NFT first appeared at the NFT | LA conference in Los Angeles from March 28th to 31st, 2022, nobody knew what it was for, but this may be a previewer to Okamoto’s announcement of his entry into the metaverse.
True to Okamoto’s slogan (“Science Delivers Better Living”), they positioned the launch as a way to engage with fans and join the “the forefront of creativity and technology”.
Each NFT will also bring benefits to its owner, but these benefits have not been announced. This grants access to members-only benefits and witnesses the metaverse romance.
Okamoto said the launch is a big step that accelerates Okamoto’s digital transformation, enabling it to serve people at the intersection of life, creativity, love and culture.
