Partap Brothers Announce Biographical Book and Upcoming Documentary

Partap Brothers, the famed Indian Classical music group, has just returned from a successful tour in India that lasted from January to February 2023. The Partap Brothers, Davinder, Mohinder, and Ravinder Partap, are patriotic Sikh ambassadors who returned to India triumphantly after nearly 20 years abroad. On their tour, they played at Amritsar, Chandigarh, Patiala, and Delhi, among other places.

The trip was a huge success, and the brothers are now working on many initiatives to keep Indian Classical music alive and well. First and foremost, they are overjoyed to announce the upcoming publication of their much-anticipated biographical book, which is presently in the works. The book will provide readers with an in-depth insight at the Partap Brothers’ lives, covering their early years, arrival in America, struggles to preserve Indian Classical music alive, and life experiences. The book will be released in 2024, along with a documentary.

In terms of the documentary, the Partap Brothers have continued filming in India at their family home as well as several institutions around the nation. The documentary will take an in-depth look at the brothers’ journey and contributions to Indian Classical music. The film will be released in 2024, and the brothers are delighted to tell their tale to the rest of the world. The Partap Brothers’ journey exemplifies the power of music and its influence on individuals and communities. Their narrative inspires artists and music fans everywhere, and their legacy will surely affect the future of Indian Classical music.

Apart from the book and documentary, the Partap Brothers are working on new records, as well as re-releases of their one and only vinyl from England in the 1980s. Their unwavering devotion to traditional Kirtan, or the musical recital of ancient Sikh texts, is a source of great pride for Sikhs worldwide. The poetry and philosophy of Sikhism’s most holy text, the Guru Granth Sahib, are the biggest source of spiritual inspiration for the Sikh people.

“We are overjoyed to be able to share our tale with the world through the book and documentary,” Davinder Partap stated. “We hope that our music and our trip will encourage future generations to value and find spiritual peace in Indian Classical music.”

The brothers’ musical breadth and flexibility will be on display in the next album releases. The re-release of their 1980s record is guaranteed to please aficionados of Indian Classical music as well as collectors. The new CDs will include a mix of classic and contemporary pieces, demonstrating the brothers’ ability to adapt to changing times while remaining faithful to their roots.
